Executive Director's Transformative Visit

March 20, 2025 By PBC Ministries Team

A special visit that inspired and uplifted our entire school community

Our beloved Papa, Uncle Jeff Ogenrwoth, visited Kwio Akuru in March 2025, bringing inspiration and guidance to our school community.

The entire Precious Beloved Children Ministries community was filled with joy and anticipation as we welcomed our Executive Director, Uncle Jeff Ogenrwoth, for his special visit. His presence brought renewed energy and vision to our school and community projects.

A Warm Welcome

The children prepared for weeks in advance, rehearsing songs, dances, and poems to welcome Uncle Jeff. On the day of his arrival, the school grounds were decorated with colorful banners and flowers. The children lined up along the entrance path, waving small flags and singing welcome songs as his vehicle approached.

The school band, which Uncle Jeff helped establish during his previous visit, played a special composition they had been practicing for this occasion. The atmosphere was electric with excitement and gratitude for his presence.

"When I see the joy in these children's eyes and the progress they've made, I know that every effort we make is worthwhile. These children are the future of Uganda, and we are blessed to be part of their journey."
Uncle Jeff Ogenrwoth

Inspiring School Assembly

During the special school assembly, Uncle Jeff shared stories of his own childhood and the challenges he overcame through education and faith. He encouraged the students to dream big and work hard, emphasizing that their current circumstances do not determine their future success.

The highlight of the assembly was when Uncle Jeff recognized several students for their outstanding academic achievements and character development. Each student received a certificate and a special gift, but more importantly, they received personal words of encouragement that many said they would never forget.

Reviewing Progress and Future Plans

During his visit, Uncle Jeff met with the school administration and teachers to review the progress of various educational programs and initiatives. He was particularly impressed with the improvements in the school's infrastructure, including the medical clinic, new steel buildings, and school furniture.

Together with the school leadership team, Uncle Jeff outlined ambitious plans for the coming years, including:

  • Expanding the vocational training program to include more practical skills
  • Establishing a scholarship fund for the most promising students to pursue higher education
  • Developing a sustainable agriculture project that will both feed the children and generate income
  • Building additional classrooms to accommodate the growing student population

Community Outreach

Uncle Jeff's visit extended beyond the school grounds. He spent significant time in the Kwio Akuru village, meeting with families and community leaders. These interactions provided valuable insights into the challenges and needs of the broader community that our ministry serves.

In response to community feedback, Uncle Jeff announced the expansion of our free medical care initiative at Kwio Akuru.

"Our mission extends beyond education. We are committed to holistic development that addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the entire community."

Spiritual Guidance and Encouragement

As a spiritual leader, Uncle Jeff led several prayer and worship sessions during his visit. These gatherings were powerful moments of reflection and renewal for both the children and staff. His messages emphasized the importance of faith, perseverance, and service to others.

Many staff members shared that these spiritual sessions were exactly what they needed to renew their commitment and passion for the work they do at Precious Beloved Children Ministries.

A Lasting Impact

As Uncle Jeff's visit came to an end, it was clear that his presence had made a lasting impact on everyone at Precious Beloved Children Ministries. The children presented him with handmade gifts and cards expressing their gratitude and love.

In his farewell address, Uncle Jeff expressed his pride in what the ministry has accomplished and his confidence in its future. He promised to return soon and to continue supporting the work from afar in the meantime.

We are grateful for Uncle Jeff's leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment to the children of Kwio Akuru. His visit has left us inspired, encouraged, and more determined than ever to continue our mission of providing hope and opportunities to vulnerable children.
