School Opening: A New Beginning

Hon Dr. Betty Udongo opened the Precious Beloved Children Christian School in September 2022, marking a significant milestone for the community of Kwio Akuru Village.

The Beginning of a Dream

The school opening marked 2 years before the first proper school building was constructed. The old Church served as the only school building in 2022, with no desks for students and light streaming in from above through large holes in the roof.

Humble Beginnings

When Precious Beloved Children Christian School first opened its doors in September 2022, the conditions were far from ideal. The old church building, with its leaky roof and dirt floor, was repurposed to serve as the first classroom. Despite these challenges, the children's enthusiasm for learning was undeniable. They arrived each day in their new uniforms, eager to begin their educational journey.

The school began with limited resources but unlimited hope. Teachers worked tirelessly, often using creative methods to overcome the lack of traditional educational materials. Parents from the community volunteered their time to help maintain the building and support the school's daily operations.

Growth and Development

In 2024, the ministry witnessed remarkable growth with the construction of several vital facilities:

  • New Church Building A dedicated space for worship and community gatherings
  • Solar Powered Borehole Providing clean water to the school and surrounding community
  • First Two School Buildings Purpose-built classrooms to enhance the learning environment
  • Medical Clinic Providing essential healthcare services to students and community members
  • Playground A space for children to play and develop social skills

The community had prayed for a breakthrough. God had clearly heard their prayers and provided. The transformation from a single repurposed church building to a proper educational facility with supporting infrastructure has been nothing short of miraculous.

True Life Bible Church Partnership

A significant turning point came in April 2024 when True Life Bible Church of Wyoming, Michigan commissioned Uncle Jeff to be their official missionary to Uganda. They embraced his vision and mission for Precious Beloved Children Christian School and Ministries and have been instrumental in helping him build and grow the ministries.

International Cooperation

This partnership has enabled the rapid development of facilities and programs that would otherwise have taken many more years to establish. The church's commitment to supporting education and community development in Kwio Akuru Village demonstrates the power of international cooperation and Christian fellowship.

Leadership and Growth

Under Uncle Jeff's leadership and direction, the school continues to grow, and our community is thriving. His governance of all aspects of PBC Christian School and Ministries has brought jobs and hope to youths through our work-discipleship program.

Local Employment

The school now employs local teachers and staff, creating sustainable employment opportunities within the community.

Skills Development

The work-discipleship program provides vocational training for young people, equipping them with practical skills while instilling Christian values and work ethics.

Future Plans

Looking ahead, we have ambitious plans for the continued development of Precious Beloved Children Christian School:

  1. Expanding classroom capacity to accommodate more students
  2. Developing a computer lab to provide digital literacy skills
  3. Creating a library with resources for both students and community members
  4. Establishing vocational training programs for older students

A Testament to Faith and Community

From humble beginnings in a repurposed church building to a thriving educational institution with proper facilities, Precious Beloved Children Christian School stands as a testament to what can be achieved through faith, dedication, and community support.
